Sometimes people take the liberty of creatively combining words and gleefully sprinkling them into the lexicon. My middle school’s “cafetorium” (cafeteria + auditorium) comes to mind. Although it sounds atrocious, it’s not particularly harmful, but just a little annoying. Arby’s has commercials out right now advertising their new buffalo and barbecue sandwich. They call it “Buff-A-Que.”
Say it out loud. Buff-A-Que.
How did they not catch the hidden vulgarity hiding within their quirky sandwich name? Maybe certain people should stop making up words.
